Couples arranging their ceremony through Marriage Bureau of Victoria may invite as few as two witnesses or up to around 40 guests when marrying in the ceremony rooms of the Melbourne Marriage Registry.

For couples planning a private elopement, we can also provide the two legal witnesses required under Australian marriage law if you prefer to marry quietly with just the two of you.

If you choose a ceremony through Vows on the Move at your own venue or location, there is no fixed guest limit — you may invite as many people as your venue can accommodate, provided the ceremony includes two legal witnesses.
